Philosopher’s Walnuts has hybridity at its center – vignettes of imagined post-human fairytale creatures and uncanny miniature icons. The “Cinderella” tale draws from cultures in which similar tales exist – countries as diverse as China (where the earliest Cinderella-like tale surfaces) Turkey, Russia, Africa, and Czechoslovakia (in which the magical entity is the walnut).
